Spotlight on...

Each week (either tuesday or thursday)our co editor Jon will be bringing you a spotlight on post. He will take a look at different schools from all over the land giving you the facts, numbers, and history. Expect lots of good info and of course, the lovely ladies!

Well we all know what school is coming today but I'll still give you a witty intro. Home to 3 Heisman's(and the last non offensive player to win it) Home to the greatest rivalry in college sports, home to the great Bo Schembechler, Home of the "Fab 5" who flopped come tourney time because of a time out management issue, and just happens to be New England Patriots QB Tom Brady.

The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (simply Michigan) is a coeducational public research university in the state of Michigan. The university was founded in 1817 in Detroit, and moved to Ann Arbor in 1837. Today, it is the state's oldest university and the flagship campus of the University of Michigan system, which now has two satellite campuses with 41,042 students. Well all I can say is that I'm glad I'm not a student there as in 2007 their out of state tuition ranks as the highest in the US! The Maize and Blue participate in the Big 10 conference with 24 of their sports teams. The football team holds records for the most all-time wins and highest all-time winning percentage in NCAA Division I-A history. They have won or shared in 42 big 10 championships. they have 14 national championships with the last in 1997. The campus is regarded as one of the 20 best in the US, with more than 420,000 living graduates it would be too hard to pick out any one just to tell you about buuuuuutttt since I like all of you the list includes: the late U.S. president Gerald Ford, Dana Jacobson and Steve Phillips of ESPN, Rich Eisen of the NFL Network. Those are just a few that you may know. Now on to they poon!!

I love Michigan too!!!

This next one may be my favorite picture of all time!!

God I love em...showin school spirit anywhere they can. Pics found from around the web.

Spotlight on...

Each week (either tuesday or thursday)our co editor Jon will be bringing you a spotlight on post. He will take a look at different schools from all over the land giving you the facts, numbers, and history. Expect lots of good info and of course, the lovely ladies!

So after a long hiatus from Spotlight on posts, this week I will have a treat for you. Your going to get 2 spotlight on posts, one for each of the QB's of the Superbowl teams. (Elisha and Brady) 1 today and 1 on Thursday. Today we are looking at the home of 17 first round NFL draft picks, the first school to give good ole Tommy Tuberville a shot just happens to be Archie and Eli's Alma matter. Yup you know who I'm talking about

The University of Mississippi, est in 1848 is also known as Ole Miss. It is a public university located in Oxford, Mississippi. Founded in 1848, the school is composed of the main campus in Oxford and three branch campuses and University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Sixty-seven percent of undergraduates are from Mississippi, and nineteen percent of all students are minorities yikes!. International students come from sixty-six nations. They may only have 17,323 students but they are loud and proud of their University. Their sports teams, originally known as the "Mississippi Flood", were re-named the Rebels in 1935 and compete in the competitive twelve-member Southeastern Conference (West Division SEC) of the NCAA's Division I. The school's colors are cardinal red and navy blue, purposely chosen to mirror the school colors of Harvard and Yale, respectively. Hell if you cant be as smart as them, might as well try to trick everyone else by choosing the same colors right! With a long history in intercollegiate athletics, the university competes in 18 men’s and women’s sports. Archie Manning whos was a great for the Rebels has an interesting stake on the campus. The campus speed limit is 18 mph...why 18 you ask? That was his jersey number! They have also produced 3 Miss Americas bow chica bow wow (I would like to know how they "produced" them too)
Overall Rating for Ole Miss, 7.5. If Elisha had not gone there id give it a 8.

Now lets take a look at some of the best of the 17,323 students they have...

Wish I was a train about to collide with this!!

Spotlight on...

We have been getting really bad with the spotlight on post so im bringing it back this week. Sorry, times have just been so busy. You have all got to understand, were just livin the college life here!! This trip takes us up to the state of North Carolina and the UNC tarheel country...

Located at Chapel Hill, the University of North Carolina is one of the oldest schools you will find. (Est. in 1789)North Carolina is one of the best looking campus you will ever find. Most of the buildings are brick and the foliage is amazing. ok enough with that stuff. They are big into baby blue, Michael Jordan, and college basketball. With almost 20,000 undergrads its not too big but big enough to have a huge fan base and following. They are one of the top basketball teams year in year out. (makes me mad seeing as I am a Maryland fan) Every game in the Dean Smith center is exciting. There other athletic programs are nothing to shake a stick at either. As a member of the ACC conference, they usually hold their own. Here is a list of their most notable sports alumni:
include Michael Jordan, Mia Hamm, Davis Love III, Eddie Pope, Roy Williams, B.J. Surhoff, Kristine Lilly, Jeff Reed, Andrew Miller, Daniel Bard, Marion Jones, Ivory Latta, Lawrence Taylor, Julius Peppers, Alge Crumpler, Willie Parker , Brian Simmons, Rasheed Wallace, Vince Carter, Nick Monroe, Antwan Jamison, Shalane Flanagan, and Dré Bly. Sounds like a group of winners, well except for Marion Jones and her steroids.
One of the biggest traditions on the campus is on Halloween. Students from all other school in North Carolina come to the UNC campus to fill the streets for partying. They estimate that 80,000 students are there annually.
Somehow while searching the history of UNC, I came across some of their hottest ladies...hmm how did that happen.

Spotlight on...

So this week takes us over to the Midwest where the #3 team in the BCS plays, where a certain NFL ROY candidate(and single game rushing record holder) played his ball, this years winner of the Red River Shoot out thats right we are going to the University of Oklahoma.

abbreviated OU, is a coeducational public research university located in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. Founded in 1890, it existed in Oklahoma Territory near Indian Territory 17 years before the two became the state of Oklahoma. As of 2006, the university has 29,721 students enrolled, most located at its main campus in Norman. In 2007, The Princeton Review named the University of Oklahoma one of its "Best Value" colleges. The school is ranked first per capita among public universities in enrollment of National Merit Scholars and among the top five in the graduation of Rhodes Scholars. The school's sports teams are called the Sooners, a nickname given to early Oklahoma land rush cheaters who sneaked into the offered territory and staked claims before the land run officially started. They participate in the NCAA's Division I-Bowl Subdivision and in the South Division of the Big 12 Conference. The school sponsors nine sports for both men and women. The University has won 18 team NCAA National Championships[11] and seven national championships in football. By far, OU's most famous and storied athletic program is the football program, which has produced four Heisman Trophy winners most recently Jason White in 2003. Many Pro Football Hall of Famers, including Lee Roy Selmon(Tampa Bay Buc wooohooo and the A.D. of USF when we started playing ball!!!...thanks Lee Roy) and Troy Aikman also attended the University of Oklahoma. Now on to the girls:

Wow I wish I knew where she went to drink I'd be there so quick

So this week takes us over to the west coast to where a certain Heisman hopeful plays his ball, where they have the first in door practice facility, where many people feel the ugliest jerseys in sports reside(but not me) yeah thats right we taking a trip to The University of Oregon
The University of Oregon is a public university located in Eugene, Oregon. The university was founded in 1876,The University of Oregon has around 80 buildings and facilities, including athletics sites such as Hayward Field, which is the site for the 2008 Olympic Track and Field Trials, and McArthur Court, and off-campus sites such as nearby Autzen Stadium and the Riverfront Research Park. The Oregon Ducks refers to the mascot and sports teams of the University of Oregon. The Oregon Ducks are part of the Pacific 10 (Pac-10) conference. Donald Duck is the mascot of the University of Oregon under an agreement with Disney. The Oregon Ducks are best known for their football team and Track and Field program, which has helped to make Eugene be known as "Tracktown, USA". They are also sometimes referred to as "The Quack Attack." Since The founder of Nike is an alumni of the school the amount of money that has been donated to the school is over $50 million dollars including a state of the art athletics facility that according to Goducks.com cost at completion $18 million dollars WOW!! With this much money being given to the school through tuition and Nike as a university whats going through your mind except "gee lets see how many jersey/helmet/pants combo we can have" and they ended up with 384 different combos here is just the base of it all just imagine what they could do with so mixing and matching

My favorite is the all white ones imagine the white out you could have!!!! ok so now on to the real reason you all came here the girls!!!!

Spotlight on...

Each week we will take a closer look at different schools, this week takes us up to the home state of my roommate and Packer Country as we visit The University of Wisconsinlocated in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. Founded in 1848, it is the largest university in the state with a total enrollment of over 41,000 students. University of Wisconsin athletic programs compete in the Big Ten Conference. Football is second to none to this Big Ten school and weather they win or lose there is one thing you can count on and that is the band playing in the traditional "5th Quarter" where the band plays their most popular songs. Their mascot is named Buckingham U. Badger, but any one who knows a thing or two about Big Ten football knows him better as "Bucky Badger". Even though it may be cold 95% of the year up in good ole Wisconsin these girls found some nice warm places to show them selves off:

Thanks to our friends over at Big 10 Poon for these nice lookin ladies!!

Each week we will take a closer look at different schools, this week takes us out west to Tempe Arizona...Get crazy ASU!

This week we will take a look at Arizona State University aka the Sun Devils. It is located in Tempe Arizona and is HUGE...I'm talking 51.000 students big which makes it the second largest student university campus in the USA. The also have three other campuses to go with the main Tempe location. Many of their buildings on campus were designed by frank lloyd wright and from my architecture class I can tell you that's a big deal. Arizona State University's NCAA Division I Sun Devils compete in Baseball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Swimming/Diving, Tennis, Track, and Wrestling, while the women participate in Basketball, Cross Country, Golf, Gymnastics, Soccer, Softball, Swimming/Diving, Tennis, Track, Volleyball, and Water Polo. The have a total of 129 national championships as a school. That's very impressive ASU. The football team has also played pretty well winning a few rose bowls in the day. Currently they rank 4th in this years BCS polls. And oh yeah, they like to party there and they have some very nice ladies on campus...

Thanks to pac 10 poon for the lovely ladies of ASU

Spotlight on...

This is a new segment we will be blogging about. Each week, we will pick a different school and do a spotlight on them...city, girls, campus life, etc. This week its on The University of Louisville aka "The Ville, U of L"

Louisville is located in Kentucky and is a member of the Big East Conference. Estavblished in 1798 makes it older than maknind! They enroll roughly 21,000 students but dont let the size fool ya, theres still plenty out there, if ya know what I mean. They have a cardinal for a mascot and love Red and Black. There sports teams are usually pretty god with the football team winning the big east title in 06 and the orange bowl in 07. That was then, this year, not so much. The Pap Smear was also invented here, just in case you were wondering! If your traveling to Louisville, it is good for a couple things, the kentucky derby, straw hats and farmers, and on the occasion girls with all their teeth. Here are a few of those kind...

You can find some NWFS pics of her on the net.

Thanks to big east poon for that one.
